Yesterday, 11/8/17, FOCLL President Elaine Falzone and Ranee Stawn, Treasurer, delivered the final donation check of $6,049.86 to CLPL. This completes the legal distribution of all remaining funds required for dissolution of the Friends of the Crystal Lake Library.
Thank you for all you have done, and all you personally have been, as a Friend in our fundraising efforts and enjoyable associations. Hello, Friends ~
I have been working with lawyer, Mark Saladin, to prepare final FOCLL dissolution papers. Mr. Saladin has told me that, based upon the information I have given him as treasurer and the actions that were taken at our last meeting, a final dissolution meeting on June 19 will not be necessary. If the necessity for a meeting should arise, I will notify everyone Ranee Ranee Strawn Treasurer, FOCLL Tomorrow (May25th) is National Tap Dance Day.
Come on over to Culver's between 5-8pm and the FOCLLiers will tap dance your order to your table or out to your car. This could be very interesting. See you there! Hello, Friends ~
Last Monday night, at FOCLL's business meeting, those present voted to begin the procedure of dissolving the Friends of the Crystal Lake Library. Due to the lack of members willing to step into leadership positions and the loss of the used book sale, our primary fundraiser, we are unable to continue as a 501(c)3 organization. Those present at the meeting have instructed me to contact an attorney, who will guide the group through the necessary legal process. I have a meeting scheduled with attorney Mark Saladin on Tuesday, May 23. FOCLL will have one final meeting, at which we will formally dissolve and a check will be made out to the CL Library for our remaining funds. You will be informed of the date and time. Ranee Strawn Treasurer, FOCLL Coming up...May 25th FOCLL fundraiser at Culver's in Crystal Lake. Dine in/Carry out all day with added fun of the FOCLLiers waiting table between 5-8PM. new opportunities to support CLPL's programs and services. We need all the creative ideas we can get , so come on over Monday night, April 17th, 7pm @ the Crystal Lake Library. ...And there will be treats to kick start your thinking! This is a reminder of FOCLL's business meeting this coming Monday, March 20, 7pm in the Ames Room at the library. Since the Friends are no longer able to conduct a book sale, our major source of revenue has been lost. We will be discussing options for the future of our organization.
