FOCLL member and book discussion leader, Deb Wright, describes the book as a short novel that takes place in northern Ontario. It centers on the Morrison family, whose hardships and challenges we see from Kate's viewpoint. The book is beautifully written with flashes of humor, insights into the natural world and surprising glimpses into the complexities of family life. It is rich with discussion topics – we should have a really engaging conversation! The book was published in 2002 and is available through the library, Barnes & Noble, Amazon used books, etc.
We will meet at 7pm on Monday, February 16 at Colonial Café & Ice Cream on Hwy 14. Come a bit early to enjoy dinner and chat, but you can also order food at any time. We hope to see you there!
